Go to youtube and search 'smokey eye',
or click the link to the list of videos that I will include at the bottom of this.
There are LOTS of tutorials, and I won't suggest just one to you, because there are alot of different spinoffs of the smokey eye, and I'll let you chose which you like best. :]
I LOVE the smokey eye, but I'm too young to pull it off, haha!
I love this girl:

She does other makeup tutorials. Her tutorials are detailed and easy. She has a video of her applying it while giving you instructions. If you don't want to play the video, she has step-by-step instructions with visuals.
Trust me, she's great!
Have fun in Vegas :)

Here's a great audio clip on Sephora (it plays when you open the Stila Smoky eye pallet): http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
Other fantastic videos and information on smoky eye makeup can be found at: http://nessasarymakeup.blogspot.com/,

I use the Milani shadows- GREAT pigment for the price ($3.50 as compared to MAC shadows for $19.00). Java Bean is great for a brown smoky eye, and Storm for a gray/black smoky eye. Fantastic products, can't recommend them enough (and no, I don't work for them). :)
Best of luck and have fun on your trip!
