I, too, love Helena's makeup... (and gerard's too! he looks soooo fine!) I've never tried the look, but I'm thinking of it. First, I'd try putting on the white makeup to make your skin lighter/paler... and then use the red eyeshadow. Make sure to put it on high (close to the eyebrows) so you can see the red and also under your eyes... blend it in well! Then line your eyes with the red first, larger and thicker than what you'd put on the black so you can see the red liner.


Then use the black liquid liner, and put it on heavy around the bottom of the eyes. Also, try using a good eyelash plumping masscara to make your eyelashes seem bigger. If you want the full Helena effect, have your lips look pale... it'll make you look dead! lol :D

Thats tough. In my opinion I would start off with the red eyeshadow and put it on the outer parts darker and then go lightly inward. Line the upper lash line with black eyeliner and also your waterline. Put red eyeliner on you lower lash line pretty heavily

Dont have much make up going on? I'm a make up artist and they wear loads of the stuff it is all airbrushed make up and the video is fixed digitally aswellHow do you apply makeup like the makeup on girls in music videos?
i think they just put an a s s load of make up on them or airbrush them. ... sometimes it's the camera or maybe video editing..or lighting.. that does the trick.
It's hours of a professional applying various layers.





Why would you even want to look like that? I think it's hideous. They look plastic.
a thin layer of matching foundation and coverup. then a black eyeliner. they also curl their eyelashes and coat with black amscara. a clear lipgloss and soft blush finishes it.
Most of those girls use airbrushing so it is highly difficult to achieve that smoothed over look. I've heard good things about mineral make-up, lip gloss which is water-based, a smooth line using liquid eyeliner and very natural colours with eyeshadow etc.


Don't become too upset if you can't achieve it, I'm sure you're beautiful in your own way :)
Well heres the deal i think that girls in music videos are totally digitally fixed....i have seen many shows where people have admitted to that.. I personally think girls with less makeup are the more pretty girls!

Yes, she does look amazing. Finding a deep red wine color for your lips shouldn't be difficult at all, depending on how high of a quality you prefer. Try Maybelline, or have fun with Stargazer's many gorgeous shades. Sometimes the cheap stuff is actually pretty good.





I find if you use a lip liner a shade darker than the lip color you're using, and leave the inside of your lips a little lighter, you'll get a very sexy, dramatic look. If you're using straight black, make sure you line your lips as even as possible or they will look like a mess. Also, for black, fade the inside of your lips with a dark red or purple. If you practice and play around with it enough, they'll end up looking gorgeous.





Remember to moisturize your lips beforehand! No matter how much you try with your lip color, it will all be in vain. Cracked lips never look good. Also, after you moisturize, pat a little face powder over them and your color will stay in place longer.

get the sanyo hd camera. its affordable and great quality. especially if you want to upload your tutorials to youtube, its the perfect device.
